2018 Sneak Peeks! (UPDATED)
There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to the 2018 Keepsake Ornament collection. Product Development Director Jim Tronoski shares a few of the things he’s looking forward to most, along with some sneak peeks that really bring the magic of Keepsake Ornaments to life.

Tracy Larsen’s Premium Old World Santa is incredibly detailed with a classic European influence. Made of porcelain with fabric attachments, the ornament features opulent details. Tracy is getting his chance to creatively explore finishes for this one-of-a-kind treasure.
Regal Reindeer
This ornament, created by Joanne Eschrich, is one of my favorites from the Premium Collection. Made of porcelain, it’s topped with jewels, beads and other magical treasures. Our Keepsake artists are doing beautiful work with premium materials, and it’s exciting to see them create these little masterpieces.

Flight of Fancy
This highly imaginative, steam-powered sleigh, influence by the steampunk aesthetic, features a boiler, a rudder and a hand-activated spinning propeller. You’ll see multicolored lights in the hot-air balloon itself, with more lighting effects in the exhaust and headlight lantern. It’s all topped off with lots of copper, gold and other metallic colors to really make it shine. By Tracy Larsen.

2018 Sneak Peek: Season’s Treatings
Season’s Treatings
10th in the series.
The Season’s Treatings series turns 10 years old in 2018! The creative vision of artist Sharon Visker, this series has delighted ornament and food fans with mini depictions of seasonal treats both savory and sweet.
In celebration of this special milestone, two Season’s Treatings ornaments will be released in 2018. First, the series’s regular 10th installment is a celebration of chocolate in many varieties, from cake and candy cups to a nostalgic, foil-wrapped Santa.
And in addition to the regular installment, a commemorative 10th-anniversary ornament will be released. This special Keepsake features cheerfully detailed wintry treats like candy canes, hot cocoa, marshmallows and a jolly, Santa-themed cocoa pot. This limited-quantity ornament will be released at Ornament Debut—it’s sure to be a treat!

Terri comes from an artistic family—several of her siblings have creative jobs or hobbies. Her mother is a quilter and her father likes to build objects (he is currently building a boat). Both parents have always encouraged creative solutions to their children’s projects.
While in school, Terri loved to draw and create things. She particularly enjoyed 3D projects, such as making a miniature replica of a fort and clay models of the human muscular system for a science fair. She went on to graduate from the Columbus College of Art and Design.
After college, she was recruited by Hallmark and became a greeting card designer. A few years later, she decided to freelance, which gave her an opportunity to travel around the U.S. and to take a mission trip to Russia. Missing Hallmark, she returned and eventually worked in almost all the creative areas. She was drawn to Keepsakes because she always liked making 3D gifts, plus she enjoyed learning something new. A self-described “research junkie,” she finds inspiration for her ornaments everywhere.
At home, Terri loves to sew and do art projects with her two adopted daughters from China. Not surprisingly, her favorite ornament is the 2007 Chinese take-out box with the symbol for double happiness on its side and the fortune cookie that says, “What good fortune to have each other!”
