In honor of Day of the Dead* Keepsake studio artist Sharon Visker made an appearance on the Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family.” During the segment, she shared what attracted her to this holiday and then went on to describe the process she goes through to create her beautiful creations.

This month’s featured series, Cookie Cutter Christmas by Nina Aubé celebrates its 5th year in 2016.

Ever since she was a little girl, Nina Aubé has loved tiny things like little animals and dolls. She even began creating small fantasy worlds for them as a child. She also loves to bake and has held on to her grandmother’s old aluminum cookie cutters.
Inspired by both, Nina had the idea of creating a little world inside a cookie cutter, and the Cookie Cutter Christmas series was born. 2016 marks the fifth ornament in the series for the little mouse that gets a new adventure each year.

These soldiers serve as bodyguards and enforcers for Director Krennic, a highly placed officer within the Advanced Weapons Research division of the Empire.

2016 Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornament
The 2016 Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornament, “Festive Fox”, was made from the wood of the tree which stood at Crown Center Square during last year’s holiday season. All proceeds from the sale of these ornaments benefit the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund which assists thousands of Kansas City’s less fortunate.
