If you will be arriving in Kansas City a few days before the Keepsake Ornament Club event, be sure to check out the “Hallmark Live” events that will be taking place at the Hallmark Visitors Center.

If you’ve never been to a Hallmark Live event, it’s a small event with the artist(s) sharing concept sketches, sculpts and various types of production samples of their work (sometimes they even create while you’re there). Although the artist usually has a short presentation, much of the time is spent answering questions and chatting. There are a few places to sit, but most people stand or sit on the floor. It’s a small space that fills up fast, so arrive early.

2017 Reveal: KOC Event Exclusive Buttons
Hallmark has revealed the buttons that will be given away in conjunction with various activities at the event, including the Friday night presentation, several seminars, a workshop and the artist signing lines. Home & Family: Hallmark artist Robert Hurlburt
On Friday, Hallmark Keepsake Artist Robert Hurlburt made an appearance on the Hallmark Channel’s HOME & FAMILY show. During the segment, he breaks down how a Hallmark ornament gets made, starting with working alongside engineers for the design. Robert jokes that his biggest fans are his very own grandkids.
