Test Your Trivia!
At the 2019 Convention, Hallmark had a trivia display (as part of the Penguin Place exhibit inside the North Pole Village) that challenged attendees to test their Keepsake Ornament knowledge.
The trivia consisted of 18 panels on three two-sided walls. Each panel had a ribbon that could be pulled down to reveal the answer.
Now it’s your turn to experience the magic and find out if you are a Keepsake expert.

At the Penguin Place exhibit, inside the North Pole Village, attendees were asked to pick their favorite Keepsake Ornament series.
Eight beloved series–A Pony for Christmas, Cozy Critters, Christmas Cupcakes, Beauty of Birds, Making Memories, Brilliant Butterflies, Season’s Treatings, and Puppy Love–were represented on different candy dispensers. Attendees were asked to take a piece of candy (salt water taffy) from their top pick.

At the Penguin Place exhibit, inside the North Pole Village, attendees were allowed to vote for the next Keepsake Ornament.
Five concept sketches–Crooning Cowboy by Tom Best, Style Superstar by Nina Aubé, Santa’s Treat Maker by Ken Crow, Christmas Bacon by Sharon Visker, and Snowball and Tux Yoga by Joanne Eschrich–were displayed on different candy dispensers. Attendees “could impact Keepsake history!” by just taking a piece of candy (a star mint) from their top pick and casting a vote for their favorite Keepsake Ornament concept.

2019 KOC Convention: Charter Member Ornament
For A Royal Charter Member

This re-imagined version of the 2018 “Shining Snow Angel” ornament was issued in limited quantities and only available as a gift for charter members at the 2019 Keepsake Ornament Club event. Keepsake Artist Tammy Haddix created a cheerful snow angel using Hallmark’s signature colors and crown, but added a heart of gold to signify the place you have in the KOC’s heart, and how grateful Hallmark is to have a place in yours.
2020 Sneak Peek: Experience the Magic
The Experience the Magic, KOC Event gave a glimpse into what is to come by revealing several 2020 offerings.
The Hallmark Visitors Center currently has a Keepsake Ornament series display. In addition to showing the development of the four new series debuting in 2019, it revealed what is in store for 2020. Including three new series that will start in 2020 along with three continuing series that will be celebrating milestone anniversaries next year.

KOC Convention App Reveals 2019 Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornament Details
Since 1981 Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornaments have been sold to help in raising money for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund. From 1981 through 1986, the designs of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree commemorative ornaments came from the Hallmark ornament line and were revised in limited editions with the Mayor’s Christmas Tree inscription. Since 1987, each ornament has been an original, designed by Hallmark artists and creative staff and made from the wood of the previous year’s Mayor’s Christmas Tree. Proceeds from the purchase of these commemorative ornaments benefit the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, a Kansas City charity since 1908, which benefits thousands of Kansas City’s less fortunate each year.
Here Comes Christmas
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornament
The 2019 ornament, “Here Comes Christmas!” was designed by Hallmark Keepsake Artist Tammy Haddix. Be sure to fill out a pre-order form and bring it to Crown Center Customer Service, located on the 2nd level of the Crown Center Shops!
Pre-orders will be processed at the end of November, before the ornaments go on sale to the public. The 2019 ornament will be $15.95 each (plus tax) with $9.95 shipping.
Previous year’s ornaments are still available. These one of a kind ornaments are in limited quantity, once they are gone they are gone forever. While you’re in Kansas City for the Convention, don’t miss out on an opportunity to be a part of this time-honored tradition.
New KOC Convention Product Announced
The KOC Convention mobile app has revealed more product that will be available at the upcoming event. You can find all of the new product on our homepage under the 2019 Event Planner section.
The majority of new product falls under two categories: Convention Souvenirs and Hallmark Channel Products.
Convention Souvenirs includes clothing, coffee mugs, blankets, tea towels and the 2019 Ken Crow Puzzle.
Hallmark Channel items include clothing for both adults and babies, totes, glasses and a book whose author is scheduled to be in attendance to sign.
In the main Product Shop, Hallmark also added the recently discounted “Songs of the Season” set and the Keepsake Power Cord.

Hallmark Unveils 2020 ‘Trek’ Ornaments and More at STLV
See what ‘Trek’ ornaments and other decorative figurines are on the way from Hallmark.
There were revelations and giveaways aplenty during the brilliantly named “Is There in Truth No Keepsakes?” Hallmark and Star Trek Product Panel on Saturday morning at Star Trek Las Vegas. Hallmark’s licensing Creative Manager Christine Taylor and Senior Writer Kevin Dilmore provided fans with an exclusive first look at four Star Trek Keepsake Ornaments from Hallmark’s 2020 line. Hallmark is going all out, as 2020 will mark the 30th anniversary of their Star Trek Keepsake Ornaments.

The Star Trek Storytellers Keepsake Ornament Series will launch with Captain Kirk, Security Chief Sulu, and Lt. Uhura as seen in the TOS episode, “Mirror, Mirror.” Each ornament will feature sound from TOS and bases that light when the characters speak. Further, each character-themed ornament tells its own storylines from the episode, and when connected together to a Keepsake Power Cord, they build to a bigger part of the story, each playing off scenes with one another.
U.S.S. Enterprise™ Tree Topper

Fans were also wowed by the fourth 2020 ornament revelation. The U.S.S. Enterprise Tree Topper lights up and plays the TOS opening monologue, main theme and closing theme. When it’s paired with the characters in the Storyteller Series, the Tree Topper reacts by building a bigger storyline with coordinating sound effects and lights. Taylor and Dilmore also announced that they should expect additional coordinating Star Trek Storytellers Ornaments in the 2021 collection.
