Holiday tree decorations that are lower in price and overall value and do not come boxed. They are not part of the Keepsake Ornament collection.

An unboxed embellishment or decoration created for use as a package tie-on or to provide an inexpensive ornament for gift giving.
During the 1970’s, yarn and plush Trimmers were part of Hallmark’s Christmas ornament line. In 1981, they were separated from Keepsake Ornaments, made into their own category and given the “QHT” stock number prefix. At this time, some of the previously released designs were reissued with new stock numbers. After 1987 Hallmark stopped using the “QHT” stock number prefix to identify Trimmers. Trimmer stock numbers have since varied.

Some of the Trimmers produced were designed to fit inside a mailable “sentiment pouch.” Since each Trimmer had different art work and message, the buyer could combine the chosen Trimmer and sentiment pouch to create a personalized gift.

The production numbers for Trimmers are much lower, than those for Keepsake Ornaments, making them more scarce and sometimes hard to find.
