Hallmark sat down (virtually!) with Keepsake Artist Tammy Haddix to discuss her two full-size ornaments you can look forward to receiving in your Dream Box VERY soon! Dream Boxes begin shipping any day now! We can’t wait until they arrive at your doorsteps! Keep reading to learn more about Tammy’s Sweet Snowman Baker and That’s Snow Sweet! ornament designs and inspiration.

Tammy: “They were inspired by two very popular things, Snowmen and Baking. So, why not put those together! The look and color palette are inspired by my Making Memories series. I was imagining what a snowman’s kitchen might look like and I knew it needed to be fun and whimsical!”

Tammy: “I picked a really fun team to help me create these pieces! On the table, I had help from Robert Hurlbert. He created the table and some of the items on the table in a 3D program, then output it for sculpting on to it. Then, I had Kris Gaughran create the snowman container with utensils, Sharon Visker created the snowman cupcakes, and Anita Marra Rogers created the adorable little puppy! I sculpted the baker snowman and the mini cake. Then, I hand-painted the whole collection with a sweet, fresh color palette. I also designed the ornament stand and hooks.”

We love hearing about how the Keepsake Studio works together on these adorable designs!

Tammy: “Robert used a 3D program and a 3D printer to output or ‘grow’ the table for the sculptors to work with. Then, my team of sculptors used wax to sculpt all the other pieces. And lastly, we paint it with acrylic paints like what you get from the hobby store.” If only it were as simple as a trip to store.”

Tammy added of working with her fellow Keepsake Artists on these designs, “working with a team of super talented and creative artists is one of my favorite things to do! We always have such a good time!”
