When Keepsake Artist Gregor Benedetti was dreaming up the Gnome for Christmas series, he knew he wanted to give the brothers a strong support system of sisters to keep them out of trouble-or at least try!

Sweet Peppermint, available at Ornament Debut, is the fourth sister in the family, and she just might be Gregor’s favorite character yet.

“Peppermints were my Nanna Betty’s favorite candy. So there are a lot of special memories attached to this ornament for me,” says Gregor.

“I like to create unique personalities for the gnomes, so Peppermint is kind of the fashionista of the group. She’s the only one who wears a dress instead of pants, and she has this perfect curl in the front.”

A few other unique traits that Gregor gives each sister are the buttons on the fronts of their outfits and the charms on their hats. Peppermint’s button is a red heart, and her charm is her namesake candy, of course. Gregor says he also likes to create a few details that connect the Sweet Gnome sisters to their big brothers. This time, Sweet Peppermint’s candy-cane striped wreath matches the doorway in the limited-quantity papercraft ornament that Gregor created this year for the fifth anniversary of the series.
