Get your haunt on!

Our team takes you behind the scenes of these cute (and creepy!) Keepsake Ornaments.

Gnothing but Treats sketch

The nights are getting colder, the vibes are getting cozier and magic is in the air. You know what that means: It’s time to get out your tree and start decorating! Whether your style is sweet or scary, our boo-tiful 2025 collection has something for everyone.

For something cute, not creepy, Gnaughty and Gnice are the stars of Gnothing But Treats. Keepsake Artist Gregor Benedetti says this seasonal spin-off has been in the works since 2022 when he posted a message to the KOC with a sketch of the beloved gnome brothers in Halloween outfits.

When I posted it, I had no idea it would get such a big reaction from our fans, but they absolutely loved it,” says Gregor. “So many people reposted it and said ‘This should be an ornament.’ I’m so excited we were able to make it happen!

If you like your Halloween fun with a small side of fright, Goofy Ghost is the ornament for you. Featuring technology we call “grin and glow,” this unforgettable phantom lights up to reveal animated facial expressions paired with silly, and sometimes scary, phrases and eerie music. It also features continuous light and is designed to pair with last year’s Spirited Pumpkin ornament.

An ornament like this is a special collaboration between artists, writers, the sound studio and engineering, Our writer, Kevin Dilmore, started piping off these funny ‘dad joke’ phrases the ghost could say, Our artist, Emma Leturgez-Smith, created this perfect floating shape and was instrumental in the prototyping process,” says Keepsake Engineer Kristina Ferguson.

I built a prototype as close to scale as I could so we could program the LED lights to create facial expressions that matched the sounds,” she adds. “We had to test and figure out, is she winking? Is she scowling? How many LEDs does it take to make a smile?

This is my favorite ornament I’ve worked on in the past 3 years because it proves the point that all of us is smarter than one of us,” adds Kevin. “A joke didn’t go in unless we all thought it was funny, and a facial expression wasn’t approved until we all knew it perfectly matched the voice.

We’re grinning (and glowing) with pride at the amazing, collaborative team that brought this spirited ornament to life.

But sweet and silly isn’t all we’re serving up this season-fans of horror films will delight at the fright in this year’s collection.

So many of us are big horror movie fans, so we wanted to create ornaments that celebrate that,” says Art Director Kelley Willaredt. “The Exorcist™ is one of my favorite movies.

I was thrilled we were able to push the envelope and bring a really iconic, scary scene to life. Adding the pull-string was just perfect.

With Funko POP!* styling and a spinning head, Regan is ready to terrify your tree-and she brought friends! Don’t miss Chucky from Child’s Play 2, Thing from Addams Family, Beetlejuice’s burial ground, even a mini Beetlejuice™.

If you’re curious what’s in store for next year, we can’t let the black cat out of the bag just yet, but you’re in for a treat, guaranteed. Happy haunting!
