After graduating from high school, Clark left the little town of Smallville to begin a seven-year exploration of the globe. Eager to find some purpose for his amazing abilities, he searched for a suitably heroic role in life. In time, he found his way to Metropolis, where a crashing space-plane forced Clark to reveal the existence of Superman to the world. One of the plane’s passengers, reporter Lois Lane, gave him his name and would later inspire Clark to study journalism and pursue his own career at the Daily Planet.
