KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 2, 2020) – UPDATE: PopMinded by Hallmark will be participating in the online replacement for New York Comic Con, Metaverse, taking place October 8-11. You can find the exhibitor page in the virtual exhibit hall with links to exclusives, as well as core product lines from Star Wars, Harry Potter, DC Comics, Marvel, Star Trek and many more.
As promised, this year’s event exclusives, first sold at Comic-Con@home and later at the first installment of Metaverse, the remainder of the allotment of exclusives will be available during this October Metaverse event beginning on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 11AM CDT.
In addition to the five 2020 event exclusives, Hallmark has a small amount of the 2019 event exclusive Harry Potter™ Sybill Trelawney™ itty bittys® that will be available for purchase.

Artist Insights: Santa’s Sleigh
Hallmark sat down (virtually!) with Keepsake Artist Joanne Wright to discuss her Santa’s Sleigh ornament exclusive to 2021 KOC members!
Joanne also mentioned, “the story telling feature around the sleigh was a fun part for me. A lot of thought went into the sculpted details of the scene and Santa…right down to the colors chosen for the finished paint.”

As winners of a 2020 Artist Signing, members of the Renaissance Ornament Collectors Club from Ridgeland , Mississippi were treated to a special sneak peek during their virtual club meeting with Hallmark Keepsake Artist Joanne Wright . As part of their 30-minute live chat, club members were able to submit questions and see an ornament each artist created for the 2021 Keepsake Ornament line.
Ornament Spotlight: Playful Penguins (Names Revealed)
After nineteen years we learn the names of the three playful penguins: Wade, Waddles, and Wendel.

Wendel
Wade is the leader of the group. Whether at the bow of a boat, in the cab of a locomotive, or the cockpit of a plane, he takes charge of the situation and steers the adventure. He can be recognized by his sea-foam green and periwinkle blue striped scarf.
Waddles wears a periwinkle blue scarf with white fringe. He is never without a smile and can be seen laughing all the way.
Wendel, the timidest of the trio, speaks softly and is shy. He’s a wee bit more afraid than the others, but his special periwinkle blue and iris striped scarf gives him the right amount of courage to join Wade and Waddles in their adventures.
Playful Penguins Keepsake Ornaments are the lovable creation of Hallmark artist Kristina Gaughran. Year after year, these flippered friends put their imaginations to work building whimsical creations with snow and ice. The penguins’ antics are inspired by Kristina’s own snowy adventures as a child in Iowa and the creative imagination she sees in her two little boys.
