Snow Buddies Error Confirmed

A few days ago, when we updated our “2012 Ornament Premiere Limited-quantity Ornaments” post to include additional information, it was brought to our attention that the sentiment (date) on this years Snow Buddies, 15th Anniversary, Special Edition ornament was incorrect. At that time a message was sent to Tammy Haddix, the Keepsake artist that creates this popular series, to alert her of the possible mistake.

Here is her response:

“….Unfortunately, mistakes happen! You guys always keep me on my toes and keep better track of my series that I do! For that I thank you! Yes, you are right the date on the ornament is technically incorrect. It says “Snow Buddies since 1997″ and the 1st in series was released in 1998. When we did the math 2012 – 15 years = 1997; it made sense to say 1997. We didn’t realize that simple math doesn’t work when figuring out the release year, the calculator let us down! Unfortunately, at this point in time it is too late to change the ornament; but if you think about it I actually created the concept and the sculpt of the 1st in series in 1997, so it isn’t all wrong. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.”

Ornament Reveal Clue #2

This year, four Keepsake Ornaments will be revealed during Ornament Debut Weekend. You can get a head start guessing what those ornaments might be by watching our series of video clues right here.

Here’s the second clue to one of the four Keepsake Ornaments that will be revealed during Ornament Debut Weekend, October 6 & 7, at your Hallmark Gold Crown store.

Click on the image below to play the video.

Voice over: A legend in combat, an icon in peace, rugged and trustworthy too. Ready for work but so eager to play, is just one of four saved for Debut.

Let’s see if we can collectively figure this out.

Enter your best guess in the comment section of this post to receive a copy of the picture we have created from the video.

Hints in the Clue

“A legend in combat, an icon in peace, rugged and trustworthy too.” (in the voice over)
The infamous grill that has become a trademark of Jeep is pictured (in the video)

UPDATE

From the video it is evident that this piece will be a military Jeep.  Now the question remains which iconic Jeep will it be: possibly a World War II Willys MB or Ford GPW US Army Jeep, maybe an M38 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of M.A.S.H. how about a toy Jeep like the one depicted in Toy Story.

Note: Although many have suggested it is a Hummer, the grill pictured in the video doesn’t match any known Hummer design.
