2013 KOC Member Ornament Premiere Gift
Keepsake Ornament Club (KOC) Members will once again receive a free ornament during Ornament Premiere when they purchase a Hallmark Keepsake ornament priced $7.95 or more. This years KOC Ornament Premiere gift, “Little Reindeer”, was created by Tammy Haddix. It depicts a seated little reindeer, wearing a green and red striped scarf with purple fringe.

For the third year in a row Hallmark will be releasing a tabletop display.
This years piece draws its inspiration from the popular Santas From Around the World collection and historic English ceramics. Features Santa in a white hooded robe (with variegated pink poinsettia decals), mint green mittens and a gold cord tied around his waist. He has a laurel (made from holly) on his head and is holding a flocked bottle brush tree in one hand and has a Victorian stocking (tied with a red ribbon) dangling from the other.
Look for it starting July 13, at Keepsake Ornament Premiere, when it will be available at a special price.

Learn about the artist and the inspiration behind a new Disney ornament that had jaws dropping when first previewed at a couple of the 2012 artist signing events.
Ever since Orville was in grade school, he wanted to be an artist. Because his mother liked to draw, she encouraged him to pursue a career in art. While in high school, he always participated in art fairs with his drawings and paintings.
After college, he held a variety of design jobs ranging from working for a screen print company to one that produced sports trading cards—all of which prepared him for a job at Hallmark. He started his career at Hallmark in season cards, but was always interested in Keepsake 3—D designing and was happy to be selected to work with this group.
Outside of work, he enjoys travel, martial arts (Kung Fu) and video gaming. Not surprisingly, one of his favorite ornaments that he has worked on was based on the Pac-Man® arcade game which he always loved playing!
Cinderella’s Castle (2013)
“Everything I do, even sculpting, is on the computer. I do some animation here and there, so I got to create the animation for the light up effects on this ornament. I had to watch Disney’s opening scene with the fireworks display over and over again and I got to look at some of the old Walt Disney cartoons, too. It brought back some good memories from when I was a little kid. This ornament was especially fun to show off during signing event sneak peeks. I asked, ‘any Disney fans out there?’ The Keepsake fans got all excited, I hit the button and when I played it you could just see their jaws drop! The fireworks display goes off with the sound, so it’s really cool.”

National Lampoon’s Vacation
“This ornament shows one of the funniest scenes of National Lampoon’s Vacation, but I can’t believe that I was allowed to keep the aunt on the top of the station wagon! There’s a guy here in town that has a replica of the car from the movie, so I actually went out and took pictures of his car for reference. Some of the actors from the film had signed the glove box, so it was pretty cool to get to see that in person. I looked at those photographs for all the little details of the car. I’ve done all the National Lampoon ornaments from the past few years. This year’s plays ‘Holiday Road,’ the theme song from the movie. I have all the National Lampoon movies and I’m a big fan.”

2013 Reveal: Event-Exclusive Keepsake Ornaments (UPDATED)
Hallmark Introduces 2013 Event-Exclusive Keepsake Ornaments
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 27, 2013) — Hallmark continues its participation at the nation’s largest pop culture fan conventions with four Keepsake Ornaments exclusively developed for 2013 events.
Three ornament designs will be sold in limited quantities at Comic-Con International, to be held July 18-21 in San Diego, Calif., and at New York Comic Con, set for October 10-13 in New York City:
Wrath of the Rancor™, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™ – Created especially for event sales, this ornament captures Luke Skywalker’s struggle with the savage creature dwelling below Jabba the Hutt’s palace as seen in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™.
U.S.S. Kelvin™, STAR TREK™ – As featured in the 2009 Star Trek movie, this Federation starship exclusive is a “battle-scarred” variant of the same Keepsake Ornament available starting in July in Hallmark Gold Crown® stores.
Man of Steel, SUPERMAN™ – Inspired by this summer’s big-screen adventure of the same name, Superman is the subject of this event-exclusive Keepsake Ornament. Details and images of this ornament will be announced later this year.
At the D23 Expo 2013, slated for Aug. 9-11 in Anaheim, Calif., Hallmark will offer limited quantities of one design:
Cinderella’s Castle, Disney Cinderella – Featuring battery-operated light and sound, this exclusive Keepsake Ornament will boast a different look from the ornament available starting in July in Hallmark Gold Crown stores.

The Mystery Frosty Ornaments are back with three new paint designs all based on the Frosty Friends character.
In 2013 Frosty continues on his traveling adventure exploring fun new locations. After visiting Hawaii in 2011 and the moon in 2012, he has landed in England (Queens Guard Frosty), visited the West (Cowboy Frosty) and traveled to one other location that remains a secret.
