DB (Damaged Box)
A Secondary market term used when a collectible item’s original box is in poor condition, thus usually diminishing the value of the item. (See also Box Condition)
Dream Book
An annual publication that is distributed to Hallmark customers and features a majority of the Keepsake collection for a given year.
The Keepsake Ornament Club (KOC) Edition of the Dream Book is mailed directly to KOC members.
NOTE: Although the first booklet containing a pictorial review of the then current Keepsake ornament line was released in ’79, it wasn’t until ’90 that the “Dream Book” name was first included on the cover of the annual Keepsake ornament catalog.
Dream Book Party
An in-store event held in the spring, in which local Gold Crown stores invite collectors to an informal get-together in order to have them create and turn in their “Wish Lists” for the upcoming Keepsake ornament line. First held in 2011.
