Sweet Santa
Exclusive Treats When choosing a concept for this year’s studio ornament, Keepsake Artist Edythe Kegrize wanted to give her fellow artists a chance to show off what they can do. “Immediately, I thought of cookies,” Edythe says. “Everybody loves baking at Christmas, and I’ve always admired the gingerbread competitions where people have spent hours upon hours and have all these wonderful creations on display.” The result was the Gingerbread Carousel, which features creative treats from each artist in the studio. Keepsake Artist Terri Steiger created this year’s club-exclusive companion piece, Sweet Santa. Fresh from creating his gingerbread carousel masterpiece, it looks like Santa is rewarding himself with a treat of his own. “I wanted him to look like he was getting in on the cookie decorating action,” Terri says. “Santa also has frosting-like decorative details that are a nod to gingerbread cookies.” “Exclusive Treats.” 2020 Dream Box postcard.
