HAUNTINGTON, U.S.A. (October 15, 2025) — For the first time ever, Hauntington’s most elusive residents are set to appear. A special silent auction is offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own rare, never-released Keepsake Ornaments from Hallmark’s beloved Hauntington Collection.
Though the original collection debuted in 2005, a second wave of ornaments was planned — then canceled before production. Among the enduring lineup that never saw the light of day are The Daily Howl Werewolf Reporter, the scoop-hungry canine correspondent, and the mischievous Werewolf Newsboy, both designed to expand the town’s quirky cast. Hand-painted prototypes, concept sketches, and artist proofs are among the few surviving artifacts, making them some of the rarest — and most coveted — pieces in Hauntington’s storied history.
Collectors know Hauntington is no ordinary Halloween haunt. From the ghostly grandeur of Town Hall to the crooked charm of the Deadwood Shops, every corner tells a story — and these unreleased pieces offer a tantalizing glimpse of what might have been for the haunted village.
“Seeing these pieces finally come to light is like opening a time capsule,” said one long-time collector. “It’s the closest we’ll ever get to visiting Hauntington as it was originally imagined.”
The silent auction promises to be a historic event for fans and collectors alike — a rare opportunity to claim a piece of Hallmark’s haunted legacy and bring a little extra mischief home.
Bidding opens at 9:00 AM CT on Friday, October 17, with staggered closings starting Saturday, October 18, at 2:00 PM CT. Proxy bidding is available for those unable to attend. Collectors and curious spirits alike may contact nicki@hookedonhallmark.com for details and to receive a bidder number.
Don’t let these rare Hauntington residents vanish again — once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
