Darling details

Get the inside scoop on the second cozy-cute ornament in Iman Zadrozny’s sweet series.

Cup of Cozy
2nd in the series.

When I was a little kid my family and I lived in Massachusetts, and we would make snowmen together every year,” says Keepsake Artist Iman Zadrozny. “My dad would make the bottom, my brother would make the middle and I would always make the head because I was littlest. I live in Florida now, but the snowman in this year’s Cup of Cozy ornament takes me back to those memories.

So many of us grew up playing in the snow, then running back into the house for a warm cup of hot chocolate. Those nostalgic, cozy feelings are the star of this series that features porcelain ornaments modeled after novelty Christmas mugs. This year’s ornament, available at Ornament Debut in October, has no shortage of adorable details-from the rosy cheeks to the rainbow sprinkles on top.

I’m very much a sweet-treat person, so I wanted to make the hot cocoa very decadent with caramel and whipped cream and sprinkles,” Iman says. “I also really love those mittens with the cable-knit texture and the plaid scarf with the tassels. I crochet, so those extra touches really help make the snowman’s accessories feel homemade and special.

Iman says she was overwhelmed by the love her first-in-series ornament received last year, and it was especially sweet to sign so many Cup of Cozy ornaments for fans. She hopes that collectors will continue enjoying this series as much as she enjoys creating it.

It’s hard not to smile when you’re sculpting a sweet little snowman and a cookie!” Iman says. “I want these ornaments to be cheerful and charming. And, of course, really, really cute.
