St. Nicholas. Santa Claus. Kris Kringle. Père NoĂ«l. Father Christmas. His name and appearance may vary from country to country, but he is a welcome celebrity wherever he goes. Often pictured wearing a long, warm coat, he is a kindly figure who represents the tradition of gift-giving. This new series was inspired by classic images of Father Christmas. Each year the design will feature a different theme and message. This year’s theme is “peace,” and Father Christmas is portrayed with doves and a laurel wreath. He also carries a scroll with the message, “Act gently, and be at peace with the world, for this is the spirit of Christmas.”
