The “Language of flowers” is a charming tradition in which each lovely blossom is assigned a specific meaning. Someone can give a gift of flowers and convey a message without saying a word. In this series, a different fairy will tiptoe onto the scene each year, representing a flower with a special message. The first fairy to make her debut is Poinsettia. Her name recalls the beautiful plant we also know as the Christmas flower. Since the poinsettia blooms in winter, it is not surprising that its message has been interpreted as “be of good cheer.”
