1948 FORD F-1

On March 10, 1948, Dale T. Kirlin and his wife Marian opened a small candy store in uptown Quincy, Illinois, called Andes Candies. Little could they know that this tiny store, located just “39 steps from Maine St.” would be but a first step in what would become a family business spanning three generations. Now, 60 years later, Kirlin’s is the largest chain of independently owned Hallmark stores in the world, with nearly 100 stores in ten states.

In recognition of this milestone anniversary, and in celebration of the partnership between our companies, Hallmark is proud to present to you this very limited, repainted version of the 1948 Ford F-1 ornament. This ornament was first offered (in a gray paint scheme) in the Keepsake Ornament line in 2006.
